A lack of sunlight can trigger bi-polar responses. Getting 30-40 minutes of direct sunlight each day can give you all of the Vitamin D you need. It seems logical that Vitamin Deficiency could mimic bi-polar disease as it would be temporary and related to not getting enough Vitamin D from food or sunlight.

While I suppose anything CAN be possible in medicine and in health and healthcare...vitamin D deficiency will most often lead to a calcium absorption problem that will likely result in a low calcium level...and symptoms of that so-called "hypocalcemia" (tremors, spasms, muscle weakness and the like)...NOT a mental illness such as bipolar disease (formerly called manic-depressive illness).
