You shouldn't believe the Bible. It's just a book of myths, legends, and religio-political writings.

Hilton Meyers has written a book titled "Battle of the Bibles".
He has done the research had has interviewed others, and the conclusion was that the KJV is the English translation that is the closest to the original writings. When the KJV was written, there was only one purpose in mind; make the word of God available to the people in their own language.
Other versions have deleted whole verses, or parts of verses. Others have been written to express the beliefs of a particular denomination. Most newer translations have used a faulty Greek text that was actually written in the 1860's by two men from England. Now, when a new version is considered, principles and doctrines are changed because people don't want to accept it as it is, and they change the wording to suit their own thoughts.

I am a heathen and I believe in the Divine and in a structure to honor it.
The Bible is an expression of faith, a compilation of teachings, allegories, legends, myths, facts and love songs that is meant to inspire and guide. It is most potent and beautiful when one takes into account that there are differences in culture from those who read it then and those who read it now. For all we know, it is a pop-culture document, perhaps even a satire on humanity.
In its pages are the stories of men and women who are striving to find their place in the world, to contribute and to survive. And these stories, while they may have been inspired by God, are written by men and women of different faiths throughout time.
We can never prove if God wrote the Bible because we can never fully experience the Divine. I like to think if the Bible is "holy", so is every word ever written by humanity, from the Quran to the articles in Playboy. That makes your question holy, and all the answers you receive holy.
Perhaps language was the gift of God, and through it, we have brief moments of the perfect, the glorious, the sacred.

Thanks for your Question
I really don't know what is more convincing to you
A bible that lost its original language and is mixed with translator and historians words
or A book still with its original language and is memorized by 9,000,000 now and the religion of this book is the fastest growing in the world which is The Quraan ?
I mean why would god accepts that if you are saying that this bible is from god ?? why he accepted its original language to be lost which was Aramaic and why he protects The Quraan for more over than 1400 years it is still the same

There is only one Bible. It is the devine, inspired word of God, the Father of Jesus Christ. It was written by the deciples and everyday men and women, who either knew Christ or were inspired by God to write the WORD. There are translations and it is not in the original language, but that is because it is the only way to spread the word. God said to not add too or take away from his word. I believe what is there and feel that anyone who added to, or took away from it will answer for any ignorance that I may have about God's word. If you believe, you should accept it as it is.

First thing I want to say is that Christianity is not a religion, I don't that to sound wrong so I will explain. In Greek religion means bondage. Religion is man trying to reach God and get into Heaven, Christianity is God reaching down to man despite our numerous mistakes and making a way for us to get to Heaven. Christianity is a relationship not a religion. Second, we shouldn't believe those because they were not God inspired. Keep up the faith. God is so great and deserves all of our praise! God bless you.

The Bible is a collection of books that certainly ARE from God, since the people who wrote them were inspired by the Holy Spirit. We know that God very often works through people to accomplish His will. I suggest you keep on praying and trust Him to open your eyes to the truth. Blessings to you!

Hey, I believe I am my own God, so I get to answer too!(mainly to piss you off and because it's a PUBLIC forum!)
You are free to believe what you want. Facts, though, they help your argument a whole lot, like knowing that you don't have to believe in the bible to believe in god or as someone else said, Paganism is a Religion!
(learning to spell also helps...)

I have read the earlier responses of others and it seems that your exclusionary proviso was like a magnet that has attracted its reverse polarity.
Having said that, I can understand your concern about the veracity of the contents of the Holy Bible but I will hasten to correct you that NOT "most" of it is corrupted as you have indicated.
True, there are certain portions of it that have perhaps "apparently" been altered by those who were responsible for initiating its original compilation, to which ALTERATION[s] was for the benefit of their own personal agenda.
But be that as it may, what is more IMPORTANT within the contents of the Bible is the MESSAGE of the teaching of Yeshua Messiah [PBUH] which, for the most part, remains intact for the true believer and follower of His Word.
The key is to search and find out for yourself which 'portions' of the Good Book fall within His guidelines and which 'texts' [certain phrases or words] fall or come from a "different" ilk. That can be determined by acquiring more knowledge and reading from other sources in order to obtain a rounder picture of the INTENT of His Message.
A key phrase in the Bible says "Take my yoke [teachings] upon you and LEARN OF ME for I am meek and lowly... My yoke is easy and my burden [worldly possessions] is light." THAT is quite succinct and telling of where you can begin your search.
It speaks of the Law of the Brotherhood --from whence He came-- which states that "None shall be wealthy and none shall be poor, and all shall work together in the gardens of the Brotherhood. Yet each shall follow his own path, and each shall commune with his own heart."
Follow that narrow path of the road less taken. Seek and you shall find. Listen and you shall hear. Open your eyes and you shall see. Knock and the door shall be opened for you... These are words of Wisdom that He imparted to us.
Peace be with you!

The Bible is also known as the Living Word... that is because God uses it as you read it as a tool to teach you... pray before reading it and listen to what God tells you in your heart... God will reveal truth and give wisdom if you ask and then read... allow God to speak to your heart through the Bible... if it is not full of Love it does not come from God...
