God was the first liberal?

I saw this on a bumper sticker, and it made me go hmmmm.
How does this relate to politics, did it mean to relate to politics, or a general disposition in life?

Liberals identify with Jesus's compassion and the way he was always there to help the poor, the sick, and those without a political voice. Liberals often claim conservatives don't care about the poor, but in reality conservatives simply believe the poor are better helped through private charities rather than through government programs which are often impersonal and wasteful.

Assumptions: Bumper sticker is located in the US. and God is the Christian version.
Through at least recent history it is the conservative wing of our country that has promoted war and demoted services such as a public health system. Both of which seem contrary to what God would want. Liberals tend to promote the opposite, and it's these aspects the writer of the bumper sticker is probably refering to. Of course there are aspects of both liberals and conservatives that align with, and go against what God wants. Abortion, the environment, immigration, etc.

God is not a liberal. He is not tolerant or indulgent in our differences. He does accept us in all ways because we are his children. He is conservative, however, and does not humor us for our sins. He is sad that humans have to sin but knows that we cannot do much about the fact that we sin except to do the best we can in all walks of life. All we can do is try our best. That's all God expects of us. If we trust our sons and brethren do we therefore trust God?

The deity represents the right wing. It would most likely stand for conservatives, and republicans.

The entire human world is now in the hands of unenlightened and materialistic factions that trap the mind with "science" and the heart with "religion" and the body with "politics". All of you who merely suffer this regime are obliged to toe the popular line in order to survive in these times and places, but you need not be what you hear and see on the streets and in the daily News.

The "Authorities" love to be honored and awarded with public ceremony, unquestioning obedience, and tongue-tied respect. They line up inthousands, along with the hypocritical priests who once were in power inthe old world, and they cock their ears, waiting to hear us name them aloud: "Teacher, Master, Doctor, Sovereign Head, Father, Mother, All!"

But all of you who are ordinary and merely alive need not be given the impotent names of worldly power. Your Teacher is the Living Light that moves the world and drives the heart of Man. You are equals, like brothers. And yet you are not like children. Accept no man or woman as your Parent!Grow up to Manhood, serve one another, and understand that your only Source is the Life you inherit with every breath.
