It's a sin to be a poor speller and write badly. Yes, our schools are in terrible shape. "No child left behind" means that everyone passes whether they learned anything or not.

In the book of colossians 4:5,6
5) Walk in wisdom toward them tath are without, redeeming the time.
6) let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how to answer every man.
It is a sin to bad mouth anyone for any reason
It is a sin to dislike any man for any reason
1st John 4:8
8) He that loveth not knoweth not GOD; for God is love
James 2:8
8) If ye fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, ye do well.
So yes it is a sin to dislike anyone for anything, because dislike developes into madness, and madness developes into hatred that is all of the Devil.

There is a distinct difference between stupid and ignorant...stupid can't be fixed, ignorance can be fixed with education. Give the basic level of education in the US, you should just be happy that most of us can drop from our trees long enough to play on the typee box.

In my moral code, stupidity is the capital sin. I'm a satanist, but that doesn't necessarily have anything to do.
Stupidity is overrated. Why should we encourage it? It's not fundamentally wrong to promote correct grammar and spelling.
Plus, I, as an atheist, don't believe in any form of afterlife. We live, we die, end of story.

I don't think God will condemn anyone to hell for simple dislike of someone or something. Its not right to hate others though. God wants us to have tolerance for others and to try to forgive those who do us harm. Although you may get annoyed by stupidity you should not hate. Hatred is a sin.

HAHA. no, it's not a sin, especially since I don't believe in sins anyway. I generally choose not to surround myself with people that use poor grammar (other than my family, since I can't really get away from them). My boss uses terrible grammar and couldn't spell if her life depended on it, but since she's my boss I have to grin and bare it.

Jesus said if you hate someone you have committed murder against them in your heart.
Now, merely disliking someone is not equivalent to hatred. We are to love people as we love ourselves.
Sometimes I don't even like myself - especially when I am being a jerk or hurting people or being stupid. But I always give myself the benefit of the doubt and I always let myself off easy. So I believe that is how we are to treat other people - we don't have to always like other people, but we should deal with them in love.
If someone uses bad grammar - correct them in the same way you would like to be corrected: gently, lovingly, patiently. This is the golden rule given to us by Jesus "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"

The question should be, are people who use bad grammer, stupid? If so, is hating them a mortal sin?
The answer is simply "YES". You are stupid, go to hell hating yourself.

lol, nope. i don't like stupid people eather.
but bad grammar doesn't mean automatically being stupid. My bad english grammar, for example, means still that i'm kinda extremely smart, because english is only my fourth language.
so, i would be kinda stupid to judge people only on grammar-skills :p

No, it just means that when you get to judgement, God's going to pull up every entry you've ever written, and proofread it. Now if you've ever made any grammar mistakes, then you'll go to Hell.
