Our main focus as Americans is terrorists from the Muslim faith. However, there are plenty of Americans, Irish, Africans and just someone from everyplace in the world who are terrorists. In our own country we have gangs who terrorize people every day and for simple things like a pair of sneakers.
Also, do not forget that the terrorists in the Oklahoma bombing were none other than Americans.

You are making that asumption based only on the current popular image of terrortist in the media.

A terrorist is any person or group who threatens or attacks civilians in order to gain political or military motives. Terrorists basically threaten the people of a country directly instead of the military or government so the poulation of a country convinces its government to meet the terrorists demands, not as a way to solve the problem but as a way to stop the terrorists.

There are many other people who fit this bill. ELF, the Earth Liberation Front is a eco-terrortist group recognized by the FBI that commits arson in order to gain support for theri envoromental cause. They arent muslim, they are true american terrorists.

The Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols who blew up the federal building in oklahoma were terrorists.

The christians who bomb abortion clinics are terrorists

and to be fair, by dropping a bomb on Hiroshima and Nagaskai, the US effectivly used terror to end WWII

Being muslim is not a prequisite to being a terrorist. In Northern Ireland the terrorists are christians. In Catalonia in spain and France as well as Corsica they are Christian. In India and Pakistan there are many sikh and hindu terrorists. In Nepal there are hindu terrorists. In Columbia and Venuzuela there are more christian terrorists. And in Sardinia there are even more Christian terrorists.

These terrorists might claim they're Muslim and might claim they are fighting for Allah, but the truth is, they know nothing about the religion. If they think Allah will reward them with Heaven because of what they are doing, they are greatly mistaken. The Quran says to kill one person, it is as if you killed all of humanity. Killing innocent people is strictly and utterly prohibited in Islam, so it baffles me that these terrorists could even think of calling themselves "Muslim." They need to pick up the Quran and learn the truth about their religion, rather than create this negative connotation that Islam allows this. Islam does not promote killing innocent people or violence by any means, and it's unfortunate that these people use the name of Allah in such a hateful way.
