while i dont personally believe in god, i believe that the story is that god was always there. that is very similar to many theories about the universe. the universe did not begin with the big bang but was only expanded by it. so god, like the universe, was always there if this god should exist.

God did create the world. God has always existed. He created the Angels and he sees, hears, and knows everything. His reasons for doing things sometimes do not make sense to us. We are only human and God is a higher being.

Its like you are asking who came before "FIRST" in race.

I ask you , Who created "the one" who created God? and then so on ....There has to be some stop. Lets assume that this series is everlasting infinity. In this case, we wouldn't be here. But we are here, that means there is a stop with a being who is UNCREATED. It is difficult for us to imagine something with no end and no beginning. but it is impossible for us to imagine our Creator had a beginning.

Your question is like, my brother gave birth to a child, is it male or female? Its the Characteristic of male that he does not give birth. If he gives birth then he is not male. God is Eternal, because its characteristic of God that HE IS ETERNAL. If He is not eternal, that means He is not God.

God has to be Eternal then otherwise He would have a beginning. Suppose, we say God had a beginning, then there was a time when God did not exist. It means that he needed somebody else to make him exist. So there is somebody else who is God, not him. but as we agreed that there is only one God, therefore, there is no one else who make Him exist.

When we say that God cannot be born, we are also saying that a creator cannot becomes his creation, because creation means what is in need of a creator. To be a creature of God, mean there had to be someone to create you. So if God becomes his creation, it means now he is in need of a creator. And this is absudity! As we know, A creation is not eternal. An eternal being is uncreated. We can conclude that the one God who is uncreated, has to be Eternal.

It follows by logical necessity that if God is one, and if He is eternal, Then obviously He does not beget , Nor is he begotten. Because if He beget, then He will have a child and the child will have to be God-like. So there will then be two Gods. Since we agreed that there is only one God, you cannot have two. OR If he was begotten, that means he would have father. Then the father will be older than him and more eternal than him. and we cannot have one who is more eternal than "ETERNAL"

==============================...

"Say: He is Allah, The One and Only. "Allah, the Eternal, Absolute.
"He begets not, nor is He begotten. And there is none like unto Him."
[Quran 112:1-4]

The Bible says that God has always been since the beginning, but God also created "time" so it is hard for us to understand that he had no creation date.

Nobody. By definition God is the Creator of EVERYTHING. God is eternal. He has existed always, and shall exist for ever.
As Lenin said, when there were no more matter, he would believe in God. But Lenin never asked who or what created matter. If you believe that matter is eternal, why not God ?

This question is a case Reductio ad Absurdum.

God did, duh.

The question: "Who created the Universe"?
is the same question as "Who created God"?

You are not likely to find any answers here... or anywhere. Give up. Believe or not.

The issue with this question is very simple. The One who created the creation can not be bound by the laws and necesities of the creation itself. This itself is illogical. It is like saying hte One who created time is limited to it. By the very question you are equaitng and comparing the Creator to His creation.

God says about Himself in the Qur'an:

"And there is nothing comparable unto Him"

No one created God.....He is a supreme Being...God had no beginning and He has no end..In the Bible God says, "I am the beginning and the end; the Alfa and the Omega" We are only humans and our minds cannot extend as far as that....when we go to heaven God promices to explain everything the human mind cannot.

He was just there... We were created with a beginning and and end so its hard to imagine God being there with no beginning or an end... He will always was and always will be.

If the universe was created by the "Big Bang" where did it come from?

You have to have faith in something. God or inanimate matter. I choose God.

Men created god in their imagination... In ancient times, the lack of logical reasoning and poor living conditions led them seek imaginary friends that would help them overcome difficulties after death.
