As a licensed insurance agent and Christian, I never use the term Acts of God to describe hail, flood, hurricanes...etc. Acts of nature would be more accurate. Since you are an atheist, you should obtain insurance for both, you will need all the help you can get. Good luck to you.

Yes they can if they change their ideas and decide to follow God's laws from the scriptures.
All the so called Acts of God are God's eternal justice for people who choose to abandon his laws - take the environment - because people have been so foolish to pursue technological advance at the expense of God, the environment is being degraded and we are seeing more adverse weather.

Thats a legal term and you cant insure against them as they are actually acts of nature that no one can do anything about, just accept them and move on

Rather more to the point can churches get this insurance ... wouldn't that be arson?
The term is used for convenience and has no religious connotations (despite the wording).
Peace out

Atheists do not believe God exist.
So if something bad happens to them it must have been someonelse because to them God doesn't exist.
How can something that does not exist act?
You guys do not believe God exist yet you want to blame him for something bad that happens to you? This is senseless!
You're confused.

I have heard of someone whose car got wrecked and the insurance company refused to pay out as it was one of these 'acts of God' . so the person went to the local church and managed to get them to pay out as the church is 'God's representative' and it takes money in his name.

Yes, because Christians can get coverage for acts of nature. All's fair in love and war... and hurricanes, tornados, floods, etc.
