It means you have begun your menstral cycle and you have become an offical female that produces eggs and expells them with the lining of your uterus once a month.you can still get pregnant or be pregnant when you get your period,so now if you are sexually active use some kind of birth control and always carry protection with you...you don't want STD's.Don't worry you get used to having them.
