In german ''Ich liebe dich'' means ''I love you''. German is a beautiful language so if you want to learn a new language, you can try it.

Ich liebe dich.
If you are trying to express platonic love, it is better to go with:
"Ich habe dich lieb"
In German 'I love you' is usually only used towards your significant other (or the one you want it to be)
