There are many colleges and schools that offer online education.Once you register with the school online, you will be directed to a site which will keep up with your course information. This will usually guide you through your course instruction online.Depending on the school and the course you are taking depends on whether or not you will have to use a proctor which is an educated person that gives you tests which are mailed to them. The proctor will sign the test form stating that they observed you while you took the test. Some courses require you to take the tests and mail them in while others give the tests online. This has good and bad points. The good points are:you can work at your own pace and you have plenty of time to learn the material, you set the test dates. The bad points are:it is easy to cheat, you may feel that you are learning but you may overlook key elements,if you take too long with the course then you can forget what you have already learned, and when you get the diploma or certificae, will you actually know the material enough to presuade an employer to hire you for the job.

I was supposed to graduate high school in 1997 but I got pregnant and quit. I finally got up enough courage to look up online schools. I graduated highschool thrue www.pennfoster.com on may 4, 2004 and am now going thrue the same school for buisness managment. These courses are easy, open book exams and a low monthly payment. I am so happy that I have my diploma and will soon have an associates. Remember that saying : where there is a will there is a way", well it is true.

Hi - I graduated High school online.. From Texas Tech University -- I completed my whole Senior year that way.. Please don't try one of these 'schools' that are entirely online - Try a real college ( Like Texas Tech ) that offer online PROGRAMS for school diplomas. For a tip - it is called "distance education".. I do not know what state you live in, but try going to yahoo and searching for your local colleges + distance education .. for example if you live in California - type in Distance Education UCLA and see if they have it. I think usually you have to live in the same state as the college you wish to virtually attend.
Here's an example http://www.depts.ttu.edu/distancelearning/prginfo.aspx?prgid=5
However I don't think they offer visual communications online since it is well.. visual
Good luck though

Indiana University offers a fully accredited high school diploma through distance learning -- check out scs.indiana.edu.
There are lots of universities that offer college degrees online. I recommend you get a book like Bear's Guide To College Degrees By Mail & Internet -- it has a list of some of the best online colleges, plus lots of tips and info.

my younger brother and sister both did online high school, got real diplomas and were finished with high school by the time they were 16...it enabled them to be finished with college (bachelors degrees) before they were even old enough to drink legally. it's a really good opportunity for the people who have the discipline to complete it. here is the link for their program. good luck and i hope it works out for you!
