Do you mean Yahoo!answers or since you put it under the category of dating, do you mean that instead?
Anything that provides the chance to help someone when they need it can not be a waste of time. Therefore, it would depend on how you are answering. Even if an answer is not serious, if it is at least amusing it may cheer that person up so it is still helping in some way.
If you meant whether or not dating is a waste of time, sometimes it is & sometimes it isn't!

Depends on what you can be doing in contrast to it. ;')
Honestly, it's enriching for me to help others, and convenient to have a place to get mass input on a subject, so I would say no. It's all what you use it for.

It keeps me entertained while my fiance is at work, among housework, etc, something a little different.
Some people do it just to get info and some do it for fun. I do it for both.

Are you kidding me? This passes the time when I'm bored at work. it's great, infact answering your questions is passing at least two minutes. Writing my answer then reading it and submiting it then reading everyone elses answers.....
