Very chic. I would not cater to the butch types (a sports theme). I would go with elegance, soft tone colors, soft lights, comfortable and retro type furniture. It would be a beautiful place.

Like any other bar. Unless of course you are exclusive for lesbians. In that case, you might want to make it appear more masculine perhaps, but orderly, tidy and clean.

I did once, they wanted a wallstreet, stock broker, cigar bar theme in rich walnut wood tones, dark green walls, a lot of brass accents and deep burgandy carpeting and upholstery. It won a design award so I guess they liked it enough to enter it.

They have these french women figurines from the thirties very flapper like but still feminine you can get pictures wallpaper mirrors anything you can think of at bed bath and beyond store. I think that those women represent strength yet beauty.
