I know it can be confusing. Mary was a virgin and an Angel came to her and told her that she was pregnant. Joseph and her were not married yet. After she had Jesus she and Joseph were wed and he was considered Jesus' father on earth. God the Father is his real Father. Hope that helps!

Mary was pregnant with Jesus before she even got married to Joseph, that's why Joseph was about to leave her because he thought she had broken there engagement. But what really happened and I don't' know how, but the Bible says that" The Holy Spirit came upon her". So Joseph was not Jesus real father, he just helped raise Him. So, Mary was a virgin cause she had never been with any man yet.

Joseph is Jesus Father, and Mary is Jesus mother. She was a virgin when Jesus was spiritually conceived by God. Joseph was going to leave mary when he found out she was pregnant because he didn't want anyone to believe that he was with a woman who wasn't pure. Read the Bible better to understand.

Mary was said to have given a virgin-birth because it was the Holy Spirit, that caused Mary to become pregnant, and not Joseph. Joseph is called the earthly, or surrogate father of Jesus.

okk... Joseph is the father, and Mary is the mother of Jesus, not God. Anyway, Mary is called the Virgin Mary becuase she was pregnant with Jesus before she had any interaction with Joseph.

Jesus was placed in Mary's womb by God while still a virgin. Joseph was Mary's husband and therefore Jesus' earthly father.
