...or reply hatefully to non christians on this site. I asked the question a while ago 'Why do people seemingly hate christians,christianity,etc...' and one person replied to the effect that 'Many christians who reply here do so in a hateful manner towards unbelievers so why don't I ask the same question of you all'........It's a true observation and a fair question so I'll ask....Why do christians here and in everyday life respond and react to non believers in a very unchristlike manner? Shalom all.

A true Christian doesn't hate anyone
The ones you refer to are probably just frustrated like me that people refuse to believe the truth

There are some Christians whose personal views override the truth placed in the bible.
I also believe that some nonbelievers hate it when hell is mentioned in any way. Both sides will get agitated in passing their beliefs.
Most Christians should know two things, Luke 4:18 the good news should be preached, no where does it say we shouldn't because of others beliefs. The other issue is free will. After the truth is spoken, then free will takes over. Those that hear the word wil be accountable to choose.
I don't hate anyone, I believe in the Bible and Jesus Christ. He never wavered or worried about offense, but yet he did it in love.
Remember, Jesus is coming for a holy, spotless, bride.
The line has be drawn somewhere.

It's amusing to see people get bent out of shape about this but the main reason, I think, is because people like to press christianity onto other people. If you don't believe in our god, then you're on the wrong team, right? Christians have a narrow mindset when dealing with other views and people of those "other" religions. Do you not accept the views of others or are you views the only ones you'll listen to? you can NEVER talk to a christian about religion without them getting all bent out of shape about who's god is better or whatever. Christians views are black or white. Those in the gray/grey area are sinners. It's either one extreme or the other and non-believers do not view life this way. There are other alternatives, other view to situations and challenges we all face in life. You can either solve the situation the way you are told to, or you find out the best way by reviewing all the possible soultions at hand. In my experience, many christians I have come across do not feel this way. Whatever way god did it, is the way we ALL should do it. Open your mind, TRULY, and you can begin to understand the solution to the problem.

I completely agree w/ Biker. It is not out place as humans to judge anyone, whether it be their beliefs, practices, lifestyle, etc. The words Christian and hate should not be used in the same sentence together, but unfortunately this is the way some "Christians" get their message across, if that can be called a message. I am ashamed as a Christian to be lumped into the same category as those that kill abortion clinic doctors, or say on national television that those killed for their beliefs "got what they had coming to them".
I only hope that the love I feel inside is projected to EVERYONE I come across, not just fellow believers.

The real haters are idiots. I'm a Christian and I like to think that I listen to all viewpoints. The problem is that Christians have to be narrow minded. There is only one way to heaven, if we believe something else, well.....then we aren't Christians. We cannot accept others beliefs because we love them, not because we hate them. Would you let someone drive on the wrong side of the road just because they thought it was the right thing to do? No way! You would correct their actions ... thats what we are tring to do I think.

Well some do, you are right. Some pagans respond hatefully to others. Even Jews (except messianic Jews) hate Christians simply because we love Jesus. Most Jews misunderstand Christians. They do not realize that we love them just because God told us to. In fact God raised up Christians so Jews could survive until their Messiah comes, check it out. If we did not love you, you would not be here today. Don't forget, we (Christians) love you. Don't confuse what happened during WW II with Christianity.

I feel that we have Christians who practice only on sunday and the rest of the week they forget the teachings of Christ. Then you have those Christians that take it to another extreme and remain narrowminded and only want to hear from you if you see things just their way. Being a Christian means being Christ like which is a level that all of us struggle with because we tend to mix what is preached to making it personal from our standards. The bottom line is that no matter how hard we as Christians try to walk the road that Christ walked, we can never truly walk in his shoes and not be fallible.

Most christians are afraid of what we call reality.I live in a baptist community and am an atheist. I have found that if they don't understand or want to understand they become very hate full and EVIL!! Christians on the whole are only Christ like to those that believe in Christ, yet there bible tells them to accept all people as there brothers and sisters. Makes me go hmmmmmmm!

Well, when some of these non- Christians ask such vulger, and hateful questions, what kind of respect do they expect??? It's very disrespective to us, and God, to ask some of the foul things they do about the Lord and His people. Christians after all, are very much human, and don't claim to be perfect. Are we supposed to love the hideous remarks made by these heathens??? Let me assure you I'm talking about atheists, pagans, and non-
believers, who think they have a religion.

That is exactly what i am wondering. see all these people are sitting here saying, oh i am a christian and yet they are acting like they don't have it. man a lot of people do that they claim to be a christian but they aren't acting like it. your life is one of the biggest ways to share your faith. if someone can look at you and say wow there is something different about him or her then they will want to know why. so thank you for asking that question.

Most people who claim to be christians are not.
They may go to church or feed the hungry, donate to charities etc. etc. etc. But they are not true christians. I dont think that answering or treating someone else that believes differently than their religion with pure hate or anything negative apparently slept through the sermons and never read the bible.
We are all Gods children and he told us to love thy neighbor.
And for us not to judge others. So I think its just small minded people that hide behind faint beliefs trying to impress others.
