A better question: Since Satan is so smart, would he REALLY make it so that "his work" can be picked out so easily? Satan could be GOD for all humans know; don't you think that would be the more ingenious move?

No, Because satan has already be condemned and is awaiting his final sentence. That is why the world is the way it is today satan is trying to take as many people as he can down with him he putting false information in religions, pushing many away from the truth and the bad thing is we have access to that truth the bible I have seen it with my own eyes but the keys is actually studing and wanting to know the truth. The question should be are we smart enough to to not follow the lead of satan and began reconciling ourselves with the bible so we can get the opportunity to be apart of God's new system and fufill God's purpose take a look at the Lord's Prayer. And although God can read our hearts it is of value that we get this knowledge before it is too late.

It is already too late for satan. He made his decision a long time ago, and now he will continue to spend an eternity in Hell. How about you? Take a look into the mirror of God's standard, the Ten Commandments. Have you told a lie? Stolen anything? used God's name in vain? it's appointed unto man once to die, then judgment. One day you will die, then God will judge you by His Moral Law. God doesn't want you to end up in Hell. That's why He provided a way for you to be Saved. Jesus came to die on a cross to pay the debt for your sins and take your punishment. If you Repent, which means to ask forgiveness and turn away from your sins, then put your complete Trust in Jesus Christ. Only then you will be accepted into Heaven, not because your a good person, but because your a bad person who's been forgiven.

The simplest answer is "balance". Life would just be boring if it were all-good or all-bad.

According to legend, Satan, God's most-favorite angel, fell because of his vanity and pride. While God could theoretically destroy Satan, he is left in place to keep God-fearing people in the churches, praying, giving up their money, fighting holy wars, and sending good and bad people along their merry way into the afterlife. I mean, both God and Satan have kept these threads going for this long (albeit with the same ol' questions), but it works -- and keeps people thinking.

God is the very definition of logic, rationality, and order. Satan chose to rebel against God, thus, rebelling against logic, rationality, and order. Therefore, making him insane, logically speaking. An example of this could be the state of humanity. The world is going insane. All you have to do is look at the news. Satan, thus, is a demented, "insane" spirit. He lacks that rationality that says, "You can't win against God."

That doesn't mean to say that Satan is not smart. Many human genius's have been insane, i.e., A Beautiful Mind, Isaac Newton, Adolf Hitler, etc. Satan is a genius, yet he is insane.

Satan is very intelligent, he was created by God, a fallen angel. He is so overcome with evil intent, that there is no coming around. Your are speaking of a realm of good and evil that we as man does not fully comprehend. Satan will never "come around" because he is sin and was defeated by Jesus death on the cross and ressurection. He is only trying to take down all those he can with him. He is like the liar who knows they are caught and will keep lying to get as many other people in trouble with them.
No, I don't think he'll ever say the hell with it, because he knows his impending eternal doom and torment that he's headed for. One day he will wish that he would have chosen to bow at God's feet, as he is going to have too.

Satan can't come back to God, hes gone to far into sin to ever come back. He lost all chance of ever coming back to God, when he was kicked out of heaven. But, don't get me wrong, God did forgive Satan, but God hates sin, and Satan causes sin. So why would God, no matter how much he loves him still, want someone around him who is the master of sin? And Satan doesn't want to every come back to God. Read ur Bible.

We, here experience hardness of heart to the point of killing our conscience. It would not be to hard to believe that Satan is so dedicated in the track that he is on that he is so blinded or deluded that he cannot change his ways and repent. The bible concludes the his end has been decided, which represents total separation from God and Heaven, and that it beyond arbitration.Revelation 29:10
