How plentyful are jobs out there? I have a bachelor's degree in technology.

I live in Chattanooga, TN which is about 20 minutes from Georgia's border or about 1.5 hrs. from Atlanta. Driving in Georgia and Chattanooga is not like NYC I've been there. Jobs for technology in Georgia and Chattanooga are good. We have a growing industry near downtown Chatt. with plenty of positions to be filled. You can have a car or use the bus system which is pretty good or catch a cab. I have a car and you can actually have some where to park it. I'm not sure what type of housing you're looking for in GA. But, I have a house for sale that's about 20 minutes from Ga's that's near the lake with a 1-acre deep lot. If you would be interested let me know. I hope you find what you need.

Have a good one, zetty

the MARTA subway system is extensive, but harder from farther away. In NYC no one has a car, but everyone here does. Not as many live in Atlanta proper as opposed to the suburbs, so not much transportation to and fro. Be prepared for culture shock unless you are familiar with this area. No such thing as a NY Minute! We like it though. Good luck.

You will definitely need a car. Within Atlanta, the public transportation is pretty good, but from outlying areas, it's not going to be easy to get around without a car. But Georgia is GREAT!

go to yahoo search and look for i beleive it is ajc.com
that is the atlanta journal classifieds. Everthing you need is there, you could get a job before you make it down here. I love Smyrna and Roswell the most! You can look at the public transportation on the MARTA website! It shows all their routes and times. A car would be good!
Yall come down and see us, ya hear!

okay before you move call or write the chambers of commoners and they can give you all the information you need then get hold of the apt gudies and check on the apts and how much rent you need next keep your job updated and send them in keep track of you you mailed them to. and the date. Next let the mailphone, power know when you are moving and some of them have a movers kit to use. also let the bank know and anybody else it will help in the long run. good luck
