What do you think of a guy asking you to be his gf on the night of your first date?

I have been talking to someone on the phone for many, many hours before I went on a date with him. We liked each other very much before we even met. On the night of our first date, he asked me to be his girlfriend. I said yes. We are not young pups. We are in our 30's and have had many relationships. Any comments on this?

I think that you asked this question because you yourself aren't comfortable with him asking you on the first date. I say this because throughout your question you tried to justify why he did it, i.e. you guys talked a lot and you are at a certain age. I personally think that the first date is a little to soon for that, but every situation is different. Time will tell what happens, just always be true to yourself.
