i do not use my youth as an excuse for any action that i have made. this is simply a question that i would like to have some thoughts on.

As soon as one leaves the womb they need to learn this lesson. Stupid decisions are a part of life no matter what age or intelligance level. Everyone needs to understand that stupid decisions are only stupid if you don't learn anything from them. This should be taught to children as soon as they are introduced to this world. Life is full of mistakes, and is characterized by the mistakes that we make. However, mistakes are something to be learned from.

I never thought that any mistake or poor decision should be blamed on being "young and dumb". Usually, we still knew better than to make the decision we did but it was easier or what we thought we wanted at the time. The only time I feel you should get away with saying "dumb" over a decision is when you failed to learn from it and make the same mistake over. But then, I see older people do the same thing so I can't say it's an age trait.

I believe that age cannot be used as an excuse to justify mistakes that we make as youngsters when the mistake that we have done, was already taught to us to be wrong by our parents.. such as, a young teenage girl that is having sex unprotected and comes out pregnant, I mean even if this is not taught by the parents, this is taught in school, you see it all the time on the commercials, etc., therefore, that has nothing to do with your age, you simply acted irresponsible.. If a child is told, do not touch the plates, you will break them, and they touched it and broke it, it is not because they are young and dumb, but because they CHOSE, not to listen, therefore, they need to deal with the consequences., the only time, that being young is to blame is when we are so young that we cannot control our own **** from coming out and therefore we need diapers...

I would say 35. Because if you notice that most of the people you see in the papers and in the news that are getting arrested are under 35. It seems like most of reason they are getting in trouble is because they are young and dumb and by 35 you are mature enough to make decisions. Also 35 is the age that you can run for president. So, the government thinks your mature enough by then.

as soon as they can say they made the mistake from being young and dumb once you know right from wrong you have to take responsibility for your actions

I would say 25 years old. That's when you begin to look and say to yourself you're old enough to know.
