Yes, it is proven in the same way you would claim to prove that George Washington or Christopher Columbus existed. Based on evidence provided by witnesses.

No one now alive has ever seen Washington or Columbus, but we all accept that they lived based on accounts from the period. Same as Christ and God-- we can know Christ walked on Earth based on accounts written by witnesses (even those not included in the Bible, since you're so against that--there are secular reports of His earthly life as well, read Josephus among others). As for God, we see the order and beauty in the creation around us and see His handiwork & know that He exists.

Jesus was a highly documented middle-eastern historical figure. There are many accounts of his existence outside the Bible that date back more than two thousand years. So yes, Jesus was a real, flesh-and-blood human being, not just a fictional made-up Bible story character.
Jesus walked this earth a little over 2000 years ago. While he was on this earth, he claimed that he was God's son. His claim sounded crazy to the people back then, and it angered many of them because to go around claiming to be the Son of God was blasphemy against the church. Jesus, even though he was beaten and put on a cross to die, never went against his claim. If you were lying and someone threatened to kill you if you didn't tell the truth, you would most definitely tell the truth, right? Jesus never backed down from his claim, which means he was-and is-- the Son of God. And when he died on the cross, he paid the punishment for the sins of the world.
I believe in God because he exists. He is the Creator--He created every person, every tree, every molecule, that ever existed. He is the ruler of the universe!

You are proof, you are living as the result of someone else dying. What kind of proof are you looking for? Whether you came from a rib or an ape? The fact that you are alive constitutes a higher power has brought you life, not just your parents.

Not a relevant question. Religion is not based on fact, but belief. If you believe in God then there is God in your mind. Whether there really is God will never be proven scientifically.

And Jesus was a real person, it isn't at all likely that he never existed.

If there were solid facts leaning one way or another you wouldn't have as many religions as there are. You will not find ANY 100% solid concrete proof of the existence of a supreme being. That is why people call it faith.

obviously you don't want an answer from the bible so here is what i can say: many religions including Muslim Islamic and otherwise recognize Jesus as a prophet. though they don't recognize him as the son of god (gods name is Yahweh or in English Jehovah) they acknowledge his presents. think about this, the year is 2006 right? so what is that counting from? it is counting from the time of Jesus arrival or death, to NOW. if you have anymore questions email me.

You cannot prove that you exist, there is no proof. Why not ask for proof that Hitler existed or if Julius Cesear, no, wait, how about Nimrod? Why does everyone pick Jesus for this kind of question?

It has to be defined what "proof" is acceptable to you for this to even be a valid question. Your question is too arbitrary.

I'm in the same boat as you..

I have this crazy idea that it was all a hoax, and that the actual historical accounts were part of it. They "apostles" got those historcal people famous and what not and asked them to write about Jesus...

I see no proof. Hehe, i'm a "doubting thomas" aren't I? O.o

Religion is a matter of FAITH... But if you want proof, here goes: I woke up this beautiful morning sane, in good health, with the ability to breath, walk, talk, groom myself, and drive to work. That has proof of the blessings of the Lord written all over it.

the only proof is this:
1 there are so many people who believe in it
2 it's almost certain that an historical Jesus lived
3 the world didn't came to an end
