First the rape has little normally to do with sex, it has to do with power and control.

next there are tons of inmates who offer freely sexual favors in turn for other items in prison. They have affairs, break up,
inmates have fights over thier "girl" in prison.

I personally saw one inmate kill another because he heard that he had been with his speical person. ( he was already doing two or three life sentences, so he did not care to kill someone else)

So being raped is not being gay, and actually many of these people are not really gay in the true since, because they may well prefer women, but since they are not there, and they are in prison for 5 to 20 to 40 or more years, they do what they can.

Being raped does not make someone gay - or straight, for that matter.

Prison sex is often attributed to only one source being available. If there were a pliable hole in the wall, that could work just as well without the social implications, or risk of diseases. But like in the outside world, sex is a tool of power and subjugation at times.

In my opinion, any man who willingly gives or receives, would be homosexual. Forget about "experimentation" or "I was drunk" excuses. A normal, straight person would never give in to such a thing. Obviously, if they tried to fight it off and weren't successful, it's not their fault, so they're not gay in that scenario.
One might suggest the possibility that they could be bi but that's a concept I don't buy. (Yeah, I know.) I believe a person is either straight or gay. A person who believes he or she is bi is most likely in a state of confusion due to some sort of abuse, including the scenario you set forth in your question or perhaps because they are actually gay and just can't quite come to terms with it. Again, just my opinion.

No, men meerly have testosterone that needs to be relieved sometimes. Its pyshcological in a lot of the men that do have sex with other men, are in prison for life and sex is a natural part of life, and they are never going to see a woman again, they have to make do with the resources they have. Many men leave prison and go right back to their lives with women, and I wouldn't be surprised if some explore men again. I guess we'll never know unless you ask them.

In prison, especially for an extended "stay", there is a lot of sexual frustration. Men may find it similar to vaginal intercourse by having anal intercourse with another man. To them, it is not gay, it is just having sex with the only available "outlet" that they have.
If the man is receiving, he may not be gay but may be merely allowing the act to happen for fear of other, more violent actions, against them. In addition, sexual favors may be traded for protection or other goods.

If a man is raped in jail , NO! he is not gay just a man who has been taken advantage of by some nasty people.

But, if you are man in jail who is participating in any acts with other man willingly rather you are the taker or the doer you are GAY!!!

I disagree with tay_jen1, rape is about sex, if it wasnt then why are you sticking your penis where it doesnt belong? If you want power over someone you beat them, you rape them because you want their body and they wont let you have it. Well about the question if you are recieving and you like it then you are gay and if you are giving it then you are gay too. Thats it.

nope, rape is not about sex - its about power. raping another prisoner is a symbol of power over that person. being raped is just that being raped. violated against your will, it has nothing to do with your sexual orientation.
