This is what I see with my own eyes. There is a town called Apopka in central florida, Its packed with Mexicans certainly mostly illegals, I saw a 3 beedroom home with 15 people living in it, there was another house that had at least 10 by this they dont pay rent wich in turn leaves more vacancies, they work under the table for less money, wich in turn helps employers drop the salaries to us Americans. They buy their clothes in the salvation army and ride 8 or more in a big SUV (maybe it makes up for the small wee wee), They dont pay taxes and send their money to Mexico. They dont invest their earnings here in USA People say they take jobs that no one want that's BS. example: We was renting a room to a Colombian man that had gone to cooking school here in the US and went thru the process and got his Visa, 3 months ago his employeer hired a Mexican couple, they watched what he did and how he cooked. Guess what? he got fired and the couple stayed doing his job for less money.

If you read your question you will find the true answer.... it's the americans who will bankrupt the US because they are so greedy themselves that they are willing to hire illegals to pay less to earn more for themselves. I really don't see how 15 mexicans pilling up into one apartment or 8 in an SUV is bankrupting the US. That only further tells you how little they do get paid and how little they can afford. As to the small wee wee comment, I believe that's been an infamous trademark of the white men for many many years.

Yep, it's become all-out economic warfare....we need smarter people in Washington with their eyes and ears open, people that can COUNT, and be honest, at the same time. Multi-trillion dollar debt isn't going to work out, long term, we'll end up like Argentina,
and that would be 'bad'. Good news though, some college kids figured out how to make a car run on bullshit, so D.C. is now officially our national source of alternative energy! LOL

My feeling is, it's time for Mexico to go home. They may not go home quietly, or peacefully, most likely not, and the lackadaisical approach that Congress is taking on this one is pretty much in line with what we've seen from the whole administration.

Cheap labor may advance the bottom line, but that's where you get into prevailing wage. There's no law saying you have to pay people 30 bucks an hour, mexican, american, or otherwise.
Maybe the right question to ask is, how long before mexicans come for YOUR job? Hmmm....and, to be fair, it's not just mexicans. They're just the most prominent in all of this.
I think one part of this is that we americans have taken a lot of things for granted, for too long, and it's come back to haunt us. We've taken for granted that law enforcement was doing thier jobs, that our legislators were doing theirs, that our city officials were smart and honest enough to do their jobs competently, instead we see a lot of potentially disheartening evidence to the contrary. But, there's still that free speech thing, and when all our representatives can't walk down the street without hearing public displeasure on issues like immigration, eventually they'll have to start listening. I'm not saying that you should be like, hostile, and stuff, just that you should ask smart questions, and make your views known. We gotta vote more, get out and make ourselves heard, peacefully, but without mistake, either, because people, especially politicians, have this memory thing that happens when someone hands em a suitcase full of cash. Somehow they 'forget' all those campaign promises they made, and voter accountability, that whole show. Oopsie. Well, some americans HAVEN'T forgotten, nor are they likely to, in the face of evidence of dysfunctional policy and misrepresentations in government, intentional, or otherwise.

To sum up, if you don't want your town to fall victim to 'mexicanization', get out and VOTE. Get out and speak out.
Call the radio, write the paper, call your representative in Congress, call, write, fax, get on a horse a la Paul Revere,
proclaim your grievance for all and sundry to hear....note: horses won't be practical in traffic until next year, when gas hits $5 a gallon. Changes are coming, be a part of good changes...

To say trying - no. Do I say hurting the economy and social services in the USA - Definitely. Living in California, I see legal people everyday losing jobs to illegal immigrants because of not only low wages, but being paid under the table. Employers do not pay Workman's comp - which builds up a nice profit. I know of families that the legal tax payers are supporting who came here and have 4-5-6 children. Not only do we pay for their medical, etc. We also have to educate them. As a result our own citizens suffer. Not right.
To say trying to bankrupt - no. They haven't got a clue how. But definitely a tremendous impact on our "quality of life."

Illegal immigrants are not attempting to bankrupt America. The vast majority are seeking jobs that improve the status of their families. That said, the people who are responsible for this are the companies who refuse to check papers honestly or use databases to verify immigrant status. It is their greedy desire to keep wages as artificially low as possible that makes this happen. Finally, the only people truly trying to bankrupt America are named Bush, Cheney, Rove and Republicans in Congress who constantly slash taxes for the only the richest Americans while doing nothing to curtail out-of-control spending, leading to the greatest deficits in the history of the U.S.A. and creating debts that will need to be paid off for at least the next two generations (if not a great deal more).

Certaintly you need some more research. How could they not pay rent? Dont pay taxes, yes that is correct..IF they get paid under the table, which Americans are quilty of too. Should we throw the Americans out who choice NOT to work and live off welfare. This immigration debate is insane. Granted we need reform, but how about everyone stop blaming everything of the illegals and take some responcibility. Who elected these officials to office, who refuse to help this situation? reform immigration but dont hate and insulte people by thinking because you were born here, your somehow better. We are PRIVELAGED to be born here, because they are not, their children have no right to eat, to have shoes, and education?

You only see one side of the story. If you were form a third world country trying to find a better life for your kids, I'm sure you'd do EXACTLY what the these people are doing.US economy thrives on cheap labor and every day you go to the market you pay less money for food, clothing , shoes ONLY bacause they were all produced by non-Americans. Check out the shirt on your back.Whatever you are wearing , it's not made in USA!

My hubbies would make you scared, little one.Thats a severely underestimated guess. From experience,it's over average. And if you make money,I guess you are free to do with it as you please, this is America ,right?Or is this the soviet union now?Get a life.

It is not the illegal immigrants that are going to bankrupt America it is the politicans that want to secure their votes that will do it. The Republicans really think this mass of people are conservative minded socially and morally. The Democrats believe they are another minority group that will overwhelmingly support them. So both parties right now plan to let 12 million people break the law and get away with it all in the hope of a few more votes. They'll simply raise your taxe and mine to pay for it.

If you know what's going on then you should realize the government does see all this as a problem(minus the small wee-wee thing) and that's why they're kicking them all out! I live in West Palm Beach and they've deported so many Mexicans that there are too many jobs and not enough employees...we can't even get our highway construction finished...

I don't believe they are really trying to bankrupt the country but it IS happening. They are here because life is better for them here, and because we as a people are so willing to share in the good life we are going to be bankrupting ourselves! A relative of mine with a large dairy operation says the illegals he has are the best, most dependable help he's ever had. I'm not sure I understood him right, but I believe he said he had to report wages they earn from him to Social Security even though they don't pay into it?? ( I could be wrong here.) Sooo is it their fault this happens, or ours?
