You know, you could probably rent a community center, have family & friends cook and bring your own alchohol. People do it all the time. Or try Rose Castle in brooklyn. They don't have a bar. You would provide that and the food. Good luck

That works out to $40 per person including a 4-hour sit down meal, cocktail hour and open bar? You're kidding yourself if you anyone can do that in NYC -or anywhere else!

Why 250 people? You might be able to do something elegant for 50 people with that budget.

Something has to give - the number of people or the open bar and the elegance factor. Sorry.

That's $40 per person including the open bar. Your only chance is to find a place that you can rent and try to find a caterer that will do it for $25 or so per person. Good luck, you'll need it!

No where! You can't have a recepton for $40 per person.

Why are you having so many guests if you have a tight budget?

You're best bet would be to call some kind of Knights of Columbus hall to rent & doing all the work yourself.

HA!! Unfortunately, there is no way that's gonna happen. I had a small wedding of about 50 people, with guests buying their own drinks (except of course a champagne toast, and coffee and tea), in a small town in California and spent about $6,000. I don't think you'll be able to do that one your budget in New York, sorry.

you have 2 recommendations one million) hit upon a area like a golfing path or inner maximum club which handles the two the area and the food. 2) touch your community parks district, to boot as any outdoor golf equipment for the area. maximum caterers can easily set up a buffet and bar in those places. on your area, value should not be too various an argument, you purely might desire to locate the properly suited place/caterer. check out the bridal shows and phonebook for conceivable distributors. solid success!

At McDonald's.

You aren't going to find that in NYC nor anywhere right around NYC. My friends paid $125 a head in Dutchess County, NY for that.

You need to find a hall that doesn't have a liquor license. It's always cheaper to supply your own liquor. Try to find a church halls or social club that does catering.
