I think you should just talk to your parents about moving to the dorms. Maybe they will understand. Just tell them how you feel and that you want to be on your own and more responsible. Personally, I don't think college is the same if you live at home. You need to take care of yourself, experience more freedom, have more responsibility, and find out who you are for yourself!

Stay at home. Wait until you have enough money to support yourself.

Think about how awful it would be if you moved out and then had to move back in because you ran out of money.

It's a lot of responsibility to leave home so make sure you're prepared. Do the best you can at school and make sure you get a great job afterwards!

Good luck!

I would sugguest you stay at home the first year. Their are too many temptations to help you stray on campus. It is a good way to know if the college fit is good for you. This way you have a feel of university life without the student pressures.

You can always try it for a semester and see how it goes. Living in the dorms has the advantage of forcing you to be more involved with other students and really experience college life but it also means you have to put up with other students who are idiots.

I know it can be hard to move away from your parents but I know from my experince that I wish I would have moved away to go to school. Its good to experince new things without mom and dad on your back. And it is a lot easier to have fun if you know what I mean.

college can be the best years of your life.. i think if you can live on campus that you should! the friends you'll make and the memories you'll have might just be worth the money. however i think you need to come to an agreement with your parents.

If they are paying the bill tough to make that decision. Running away for a bit ain't gonna fix it anyway.

if you want to get away from family get a couple of room mates and split expenses and you could still be close to home
