When I read yorur name and found that you hail from the same city where I reside I really wondered how an Indian should have any difficulty in the matter. For us the gods above decide when we will or will not get anyhing.Even if this is a defeatist mentality I feel that there is pracical side to it. That is why we have less number of psychiatric cases attributable to tension. In the heart of our hearts we have a feeling that we will not get anything unless our turn comes. This is ,however, no argument to merely wait and watch but to strive for our goal.

Anything in life worth having requires some 'pain' but remember there is a flip side to that....we also receive comfort and joy for things we do too. Nothing in this life is free (financially, emotionally etc.) Life is nothing but a series of ups and downs, enjoy the ups and hang tough during the bad and all will turn out fine. As for those who think its God's fault...they are just looking for the wrong person to blame, God doesn't sit up there like a angry puppeter pulling everyone's strings...you got free will, your choices determine what you get back.

Maybe you don't consciously desire the things you can get easily.

Maybe there is strong competition for the things you desire.

Maybe your goals are entirely masochistic.

Whatever the case, it's probably time to desire new things.
