My ex and I haven't been together for 6 months (b/c he called the cops on me and I got a DUI in the end when he hit me...I did end up hurting him worse but he started it! :) ) but we still talk (I know... I'm a retard) and his birthday is in one week and i don't know if i should get him anything.
My birthday was 3 months ago and he didn't even call to say happy b-day or anything, He says it's b/c he knew that I was still very upset with him and what happened and he didn't want to stir anything up, but I think that I was more upset at the fact that he didn't even send me a F*ing text or anything, since we were together two years I thought he'd at least do that. We've been hanging out off and on lately and we both love each other very much still. But I don't know if i should even bother getting him anything. What do I do?!?!?

don't get him a thing. just lay low. it still doesn't sound like you're sure if he's all that in to you. if he wanted to get you a gift or even make the effort to call for your b-day, he would have. don't let him take you for granted. make him want you like you want him.

well if you guys are friends then you should get him something but if you are is mad enough at him that you don't want to give him a present then I dont you should be friend at all. just think about it before you do anything.
