sometimes Indians in the States can be more traditional than Indians in India. Its their way of holding on to the culture and customs. But the place they remember has changed so much since they left. If an arranged marriage scene is not for you put your foot down and explain it to your parents because it doesn't make any sense to take a gamble on this. It does involve another persons life. But in the mean time you could try matrimonial sites like shaadi.com or bharatmatrimony. On a lighter note if you are looking for someone who speaks perfect English maybe you should spell check first.
