Im in my last year of high school
i plan to go to a community school
for my first year of college
because my grades havent been that good
except for this last year.
i dont know wat school i would like to go to.
i dont want to go to community college my whole 4 years or watever to get the education i need because my grades arent good enought or i cant afford another college. ive gotten books and stuff online from culinary schools, but i dont have 4,000 to go there. what should i do?, should i take out loans or file for finacail aid?

If cooking is your passion .....go for it! If your leaning toward " cheffing it" to curtail time in school, forget it! The world of culinary art is difficult to say the least. A chef is very demanding and wants what he or she wants the way they want , when they want the first time out of the box! After all good quality food is hard to find. Everything is about excellence, no matter if in the best kitchen in the world or the best hotel, perfection and love of what you do matters most!

First thing I would do is take a two year course at a community college..then if you still have the desire to be a chef apply to a really good culinary school, such as CIA in New York. You have to be willing to give up holidays, family life..you will come home smelling like food always...not everyone who becomes a chef has a glamourous life that you see on t.v...it is hard work. first things first, hands on experience is vital. find out what style of food you love to cook. then, apply at a restraunt with a master chef with that specialty, (chef's however, are a complete pain in the rump roast if you know what I mean) if you truly love it, take the loan out. As long as you're cooking, you wont go hungry while you're in school. KNOW THIS the restraunt buss. is hard work. endless hours (mostly spent cleaning) ordering from many diff food companies, health department know-it-alls and the occassional unappresiative customer. maybe if you pray about i know it sounds doumb no its not
any way if you are going to get a lone you should get it form your family
