According to the World Health Organization (WHO) and their classification factors for alcoholism, I am a serious alcoholic. And so are most of my customers. And so are most college students. And most of the inhabitants of the United Kingdom, France, Australia, Ireland, etc... Therefore I believe it is not how much you drink but how well you live within the parameters of your drinking that define problem or alcoholic consumption. And I feel good about my life.

No. I think it might be hereditary but it could also be your surroundings. If you grow up with people using alcohol around you to feel better, you might pick that habit up more easily.

I am. FOR MYSELF, I do not find it hereditry. I found out that when I drink, I drink too much. And when I try to STOP COMPETELY I could NOT. I have been sober now for 11 years, with the aid of a well known group.
Your inquiry begs the question: Why do you ask? Does your drinking bother you now?
