Yes, if you hold it for a time that you cannot hold your breath in anymore then in a few seconds you may pass out after that happens. Sometimes you may come back to normal but if, you hold your breath for a long period that you are not already used to then you can have serious consequences.

You can, but as soon as you pass out you will start breathing again. Most people cannot hold their breath long enough to actually pass out. The drive to breathe is a strong one!

Yes. If you hold your breath, and the brain loses oxygen for a period of time you black out, or pass out. Its your bodys way of protecting its self from dieing. Once you pass out, you will start breathing again, because your brain is saying that it needs oxygen to function.

Yes. You breathe in oxygen, which the cells in your body burn to produce energy. When the oxygen is burned, the cells release carbon dioxide. A process called respiration. The carbon dioxide is released from the body when you exhale. If you hold your breath, the body still burns oxygen, producing carbon dioxide, which will build up in the blood until you exhale, or you pass out.

some kids and babies I know can do this, but most adults breathe before they pass out. As soon as the kid passed out they started breathing again- freaky to see but it didn't hurt the kid any in the long run.

You can and you will start breathing again once you do. But it isn't a good idea because it can cause brain damage. That is why the "passout game" is so dangerous.
