No quick fix, email me for more ideas if this isn't enough to get started.

I'm also a food fan. My latest challenge has been to see if I can really manage to eat the recommended amount of fiber every day. It's not easy (what is it, like 35 grams now?) Also I've tried to eat the recommended number of fruits and vegetables - and that's not easy, either.

But I found the efforts were very educational - and some of the choice I made stuck with me. I'm also trying to set up good eating habits for my 2-year-old daughter - so if I'm eating Oreos, she's going to want some, too.

Become a label-reader. Get a little too obsessive about it for a while. You mentioned you like to eat good food - is there a local vegetarian restaurant you could try? That might open you up to some other food options.

Get back into yoga. It's a constant reminder that it's not what we do that matters as much as how you do it. It's about being where you are, because where you are is perfect. You're supposed to be here, asking these questions.

Along with yoga, try walking or running intervals. The back-and-forth might help jump-start your metabolism.

I mean I could go on and on. Make little changes, over time. Spend a half an hour a day on taking care of yourself in a healthy active way, and that means no chocolate.

Or if you must eat chocolate, make sure it's a really luscious dark chocolate - that way one bite goes a long way.

It sounds like you're gonna be a knockout once you realize how attractive you are without even trying.

At 17 you have a lot to live for besides fast food. Take your money and focus on something you want - that costs a lot. Every time you "feel" you need fast food, take that money out of your wallet and shove it into a savings account. And in no time, you will see that you can afford that Spring Break or College or a new car.

Also when you work or go to school, look for the last spot in the parking lot. NOT THE CLOSEST! That little bit of a walk will help get you moving. Every little bit of extra walk a day will really help with the weight loss.

well if you want to lose weight, both exercising and eating correctly come into play. i think eating hte right stuff make up 70% of losing weight, the other 30% is just exercising, so basically it is more important to eat correctly. You cant work out really hard then come home to eat a bunch of oreos and a tub of ice cream. Well, to help with your hunger, try to stick to healthy foods. If you eat a meal and you are still hungry, wait a while, drink water, and then eat some fruits or vegetables to snack on if your hunger does not go away. I hope this helps and good luck.

Join Weight Watchers. I weighted 210 at 5'10" and was told I was obese. It took a year to lose 65 lbs, and keep it off. It is a matter of learning better eating habits; Weight Watchers was and is the only diet plan that worked for me.

Quit the fast food, go for a walk, and stop worrying so much. You are seventeen! You have plenty of life left in which to worry.

The money that doesn't help your wallet is also not helping your weight. Try not to overspend and you might not be so overweight.

Listen to a song by ROCKPILE, called Knife and Fork. The jist is..." Girl you've let a knife and a fork dig your grave".
Push yourself away from the table, and eat nothing that you don't prepare yourself!
