OK, I get it:
Rev 21:8:
But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."
The second death refers to hell, so all those who go to hell will be in the second death.

Good question, if the death of the spirit is the second death, then how can you burn in hell for eternity it the spirit is dead?
I think this came from the Egyptians. Have you heard of the theory that moses was actually an Egyptian Pharaoh Ankenhaten? It was first theorized by Sigmund Freud and has a lot of evidence to support it. Lets say for the sake of argument that he was. Then that would account for the Egyptian references in the Egyptian book of the dead appearing similarly in the bible. the Egyptian book of the dead is far older than the bible and if you don't believe that you can verify it on the Internet yourself.
The Egyptians believed that when everyone dies they go to the DWAT which is in the underworld and is 10 lakes of fire. There you are judged as soon as you die. If you are found to be righteous you can pass through the lakes of fire into the Valley of the shadow and on into heaven following the path of a letter J.
If you are judged to be a sinner you die the second death in the lakes of fire (not for eternity) and are buried in the Valley of the shadow. Hence, Yea as I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil, sound familiar? and one of the lines in a prayer in the book of the dead is "as I walk through the Valley of the shadow", interesting hugh.

The death of your soul. That is a possibility... depending on the life you lived and the sins against humanity that you have committed. This second death is at the Final Judgment... at the end of the 1000 years of peace that will occur after the Armegaddon has been waged and the 1000 years of peace. Then there will be another battle and with that concluded... the Final Judgment, and if you are found worthy, your soul enjoys Heaven and if not... your soul is destroyed.

The death of the flesh and the death of the spirit are two different things. Flesh is like living "of" the world. Spiritual death=damnation.

You die once physically. If you do not believe in Jesus Christ, you die an eternal death apart from Him.
