Go to a bookstore and ask someone there about books on explaining where babies come from to young children. I've seen tons of books that are stories to help the children understand, or books that will explain to parents what and how to explain this situation. Good Luck!

Answers are all age appropriate answers but not lies - lies will screw them up. Start out by telling them when mom and dad fell in love, God allowed them to have a beautiful child and this child comes from love. Or similar to that. I don't know if you even believe in God. I don't consider that a lie and a young child is not going to remember that as being a lie from you. As the kids get older, then you get into different answers. I would be the 9 year old may know more than you think though. It's hard to tell what to say - don't know the maturity level -- I looked at the maturity level as opposed to "age" determing what to tell my sons as they were growing up. You may need to talk to them at different times.

Be as technical as possible. I taught sex education for 6 years. The younger they are when they learn appropriate terminology and the ins and outs of reproduction the better off they will be. In my time as an instructor, it never failed that the most uneducated teenagers and adults came from homes that shyed away from talking about sex, leaving them to fend for themselves, and last time I checked movies and magazines didn't make good teachers. Don't be afraid to shock them a little, it may be the best thing for them.

properly you may tell her particularly a lot the truth. I recommend tell her that women ( or females) have a uterus interior their abdomen that you cant see for the exterior and also tiny little eggs of their ovaries that you also cant see. the toddler grows fromt he little egg right into a toddler in the moms uterus for 9 mos in the previous its sufficiently large to come back out. The dr can both reduce an establishing to the mommys abdomen and take the toddler out or the toddler can come out from a particular establishing between the moms legs. to make the toddler you also desire some sperm from the daddy and the dad has to positioned it contained in the mother and the sperm and the egg make the toddler. My son then requested how the dad receives the sperm contained in the mother and that i merely instructed him he places it interior her ( it really is real too lol) he replaced into 6 on the time and he replaced into happy with that and has had absotlutely no desire or seen to bypass and check out himself. My mom had laid all of it out for me by ability of the time i replaced into 7 and that i didnt even commence having sex until eventually i replaced into 18 so its unlike telling them about it makes them do it..

Yeah, I agree--be honest. I started by telling my son that babies grew in a special place in their mom's bodies and we call that place the uterus. (My mother-in-law nearly had a cow the first time he said "uterus" but that's another story.)

When he was about 10 I bought a book made for that age that went into a lot more detail.

Best wishes.

I don't think they should know at that age. I would wait until they get a little older.I have a 5,10 and 12 year old. I just talked to my 12 year old about the birds and the bees.

I think some people make their children watch animals copulating and then giving birth. This way they can observe and learn. Since I have no kids, I am not an authority here.

whatever you choose to do, do NOT use cutesy terms for genetalia. Penis and vagina. I told my son when he was four, that I loved his mommy very much, wanted to share her love forever with our child, but had to make one first. When my sperm met her egg, he began forming in Mom's uterus, and 9 months later he was born. Ended all the questiions right then and there!

Find a local pregnancy center. They usually have a lot of age appropriate material. Also, there are a lot of great books, so check with your local bookstore.
