Hey Jarron;
you want speed - not bulk...so make sure that your workouts are done with "explosion".
lighter weight...more repetitions.
you can find upper body workouts anywhere...every dime-store, wanna be body builder has the latest greatest method.
whatever you do...
adhere to your work out,
do NOT use supplements...
eat right, drink plenty of water, get plenty of rest.
Yes, world class athletes utilize supplements...when you're a world class athlete...you'll have a trainer that knows what you need, when and why and you'll be cross checking these with a doctor...whos insured for malpractice...until then...no supplements.

Strength is built by increasing the amount of weight you move by a small amount each time you exercise. The main muscles of the upper body are your back and chest, followed by the arms. The back muscles are generally used in pull motions, and the chest is generally used in a push motion. The front of the arms are for pulling, and the back are for pushing. I would do upper body movements every other day, up to 3 times a week. One day, focus on the chest and triceps by doing flat benching, push ups and overhead extension curls. The next time, focus on the back by doing seated rows, pull ups, and dumbbell curls. The third day, do shoulder shrugs, military presses and forearm curls. Space each session two days apart. This should help you to quickly build upper body strength.

Curls for bicepts.
behind the back pull-downs for the neck to shoulder muscles but I would not build that up too much (it makes your shoulders look rounded)
Chin-ups are very good.
Be sure and do sit-ups to support your back.
Really, for your safety, you should build up your whole body. I was a weight lifter and you can hurt your back and other parts by just focusing on a few muscle groups.
Swimming will give you a top heavy figure that looks great and is balanced as well. Look at swimmers...much better figures than gym rats like me!!!

The best way to build overall upper body strength is to use resistance, or lift weights. While pushups will definitely make you stronger, bench presses and incline presses will help increase your total upper body strength. Also include other exercises such as pullups, dips, shoulder press.

Pushups are as good as anything. Cheap, too. I gained a LOT of weight in my upper torso in a short amount of time just doing pushups.
