uh..1 month contacts that you've been wearing for 6 months continuously??? that's really bad for you. I'm surprised your eyes aren't burning or infected or anything. The contact will probably be sticking to your eyes by now. there's a reason that they say "1 month" on them rather than "6 months". I'd recommend taking them out, and going to the optometrist ASAP.

Ok good for you....
I do that all the time- and i can still see fine and what ever. Meaning i've had no ad side effects, just change them like every 3-4 months (waiting for 6 just wear the contact out and makes it a little harder to see out of)

take them out. 2 weeks is the max you can push the limits. While you are heading to a problem with a cobblestone like bumps under your lids, the long term affects will include a series of squinting which will turn into a facial tick. Put on your glasses for a few days to give your eyes oxygen.

That's bad. I also have one month contacts but I try not to wear them longer than a month and a half.

My eye doctor warned against that. You can get infections as well as lose the ability to wear contacts. My eye doctor said that prolonged use/abuse can cause little blood vessels to form on your eyes. Excessive blood vessels (produced from lack of oxygen - due to long wearing times/dirty contacts) can prevent you from being able to wear contacts ever again.

My husband waited just over a month to take them out and the doctor told him that the irritation alone would just about kill you, and not to mention can cause some very serious damage to your eyes

The more frequently you replace your contact lenses, the healthier and more comfortable your eyes can be. Substances like protein, calcium, and lipids — found naturally in your tears — can build up on your lenses. These deposits make your contacts less comfortable than when they were new, and can also make your eyes more prone to infection.

I wear mine forever too. I tend to take them out after about 45 days and soak them for a few days in solution then put them in again.
