I don't believe it, I know it.
His name is the Lord God Almighty. Read up on him. For he if found when we seek him, not when we wait for him to reveal himself to us:
Deu 4:29 But from thence ye will seek the LORD thy God; and thou shalt find Him, if thou search after Him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

I think as humans we have to believe in a higher power, because we would feel hopeless. Also there would be no right and wrong, we would not feel we had to answer to anyone other then ourselves....
With that said, I do believe in a higher power, so I believe there is a God setting somewhere on a throne, watching our every move and punishing us for the least little thing we do wrong? No! I believe we are all here to growm as a spiritual being and we have the answeres within ourselves and the power to do great things within ourselves...I do think we are rewarded in an afterlife for the deeds we have done and I think we do have to pay for our wrongs, but being born again and living until we have paid for that we have done, through several lifetimes...
Of course this is just my opinion and everyone has an opinion on this and

Controlling is such a harsh word.God is really just handling the business of the existence of mankind.He can take a man and make him something worth more than any precious diamond and use the man to help others and make others lives better because of one person that give up their life to serve Him.He can also take the body and cast it into outter darkness in the end if man won't turn to Him and accept the fact that Christ is real and the Savior of this decaying world.Man really is not controlled by God because love is not a forced thing but the power of choice is a hard thing for mankind that has minds bent on self destruction and wasted days of pleasure and vanity.Look to the Lord for the answers and use the bible as a tool to consult in this winding path called life.Just remember this is not the truth life only a shadow of the things to come.Hope this helps and God Bless

Do u feel that anyone is controlling u and guiding u, whether to do something or not? its the same with everyone. No Higher power is controlling anyone in the world, this world today is absolutely the creation of man, it has become a living hell. If Higher power guides or has control we would not have been in this stage now. But now is the time for the Higher power to interfere and make this world into Heaven once again.
People may wonder why, if God exists, He doesn’t wave a magic wand and fix things, making or at least influencing everyone so that they do exactly what they ‘should’ do. But God never takes away anyone’s freedom of choice. God’s wisdom is to recognize and respect each soul’s individual identity, freedom and inherent goodness. God shares knowledge – a profound understanding of the dualities and dilemmas of love and hatred, happiness and sorrow, victory and defeat, etc. – but He does not make our choices for us. The soul is free to choose ‘to be or not to be’, ‘to love or not to love’. God’s love strengthens the soul’s will to free itself from the distresses caused by vices such as selfish desire, anger, fear, ego and attachment. God’s power helps the soul to recognize its highest potential and to aim for perfection by practising the art of simple living and high thinking. Such practice by a significant number of souls eventually brings about positive change in the whole of humanity.

I believe there is a higher power ruling over everything. Controlling is the wrong word for what I believe. My God will not press His will on someone. He will guide you into all truth.

Yes, God and Jesus are the higher power. God created the Universe and every thing in it including you. Scientist have to have a reason for everything that is why they came up with the evolution theory, it is just that a theory. You have to have faith that God exists.

I believe in the existence of a higher power that is all around us, and a part of each of us as well. As for controlling? Hmm, haven't really thought about that part...
