someone asks this guy you like do you like her? and he responds saying yeah shes cool and fun to hang out with, but hes also shy a little bit. I took it as a friend way of him saying he likes me, but is it possible he could actually like me more than a friend??

Well try not being so shy try to open up around him, maybe ask him to take a walk with you that you would like to talk to him. Tell him whats on your mind, and if he dont feel the same way just say "thats kool," and you can just keep bein friends as normal. But if he feels the same way you do then you can move on from there. You will never know untill you ask for your self..
