I used to find myself in the same situation quite frequently and it would sometimes help to rub both temples in a circular motion simultaneously or I would squeeze the area between the thumb and pointer finger and hold it for about 20 seconds (first on one hand and then the other). I had heard somewhere that that would help headaches because there were pressure points there. You may want to do an internet search on pressure points and headaches to get better info. The Chinese use a pressure technique to get rid of headaches. If you don't mind looking like an idiot - what you do is pinch the area of your nose that is in between your eyes and pull your fingers away. Repeat. You should be pinching hard - I promise I'm not leading you astray! :) This technique has never failed on my headaches. Also - stay away from caffeine and sugar and of course alcohol! :)

take a 5 minute break from your work area. preferably outside. close your eyes and do some deep breathing. apply deep pressure to the "fatty part of your palm" with you thumb and forefinger. this is known as accupressure/reflexology and after about 5 - 7 minutes of deep breathing and applying deep pressure, your headache should be relieved.
