Commodes, Sinks, Bidets, Bathtubs, Showers, and Toilet Paper.
Indoor plumbing has become an anticipated part of most home design plans. There is a requirement of a water source or 'water line' to be supplied to the house in order to have running water inside the home. There must be a means for the waste to be accommodated, too. Usually one of two systems, either a septic system or a sewer system, depending upon proximity to an area large enough to accommodate a water treatment facility and pending monies available for pipelines to be run in an organized way throughout the area for sending clean water for use in the bathroom, as well as, separate pipes to hold and move it back for treatment before being introduced into safely designated waterways.
Most bathrooms include one or more sinks or basins to hold and release water for washing one's hands after urination or defecation (biological bathroom use). In addition, a standardized bathtub and/or shower stall may be considered ordinary for a bathroom. These are used to bathe oneself and remove dirt and accumulated skin sluff from the surface of one's body. Hot and cold running water is usual; although, in order to have hot water, one must first heat it via a 'hot water tank' that requires electricity to be supplied to the home, also. It is a utility that is federally controlled (electricity). It may be attained via several choices of use of existing or obtained resources. The most common being coal, hydroelectric power, or nuclear energy power.
These utilities (water and electricity) are considered part of the infrastructure in developing areas. They are usually managed by way of municipal monies being pooled to afford the equipment, manpower, and expertise to build and develop systems of repayment via metered devices.
Another item associated with bathroom use in America, especially is a paper goods item known as toilet paper. The name toilet is one that was associated with the 'bathroom' prior to indoor plumbings commoncy. In other words, when visiting an outdoor facility, one may refer to it as 'going to the toilet' instead of 'going to the bathroom'.
I enjoy indoor plumbing. It improves my ability to care for my personal hygiene (cleanliness). I make those utility payments on time and appreciatively because I have such a respect for the luxury of having a bathroom to go into and use.
I visit my bathroom regularly throughout the day. I often use the facilities at other locations when visiting at distances that prevent by being able to 'wait' until I can return home. Thankfully, design plans include (by law) a vapor release pipe to be installed in addition to the commode to reduce odor and prevent a stagnant stinch from being offensive to those who 'go after me'.
It is my understanding that one should dig a small hole or pit in which to deposit any solid waste or risk being thought uncivilized if in a situation where biology overrides the availability to use a commode or bathroom.
Soap, is normally provided at the sink and shower or bath to cleanse with. It is a product that is made to reduce the surface tension on the skin and softens the skin so that dirt and accumulated debri or sluff may be removed along with germs, bacteria, and other microscopic and potentially harmful surfactants.
KEEP IT CLEAN !!!!!!
