1. Sneak onto a plane headed for Pakistan.
2. Single-handedly capture Osama Bin Laden
3. Return to the US and run for president on an ultra-conservative platform.
4. Once you are elected, tax the hell out of everyone and use the money to fund research for a longevity potion.
5. Once you have discovered the secret to living forever, launch a few nuclear bombs, which should result in counter-strikes and complete world annihilation.
6. I forgot to mention that you will need to hide underground for a few thousand years during all of this, but after that you should be fine.
Alternatively, steal some good drugs from someone and imagine yourself taking over the world. It really will happen.

Start in impoverished third world countries. There are a few rich people in each of these countries. Next become allies with a big strong country. Then attack many smaller but richer nations. Make a new bigger ally and turn your old ally against them. They will conquer out each other, allowing you to conquer them both out. Then just keep conquering one or two nations at a time. Pretty soon, you'll have a whole continent. Then move on to another continent until the world is yours.

I would say, become very proficient in bad magic, and use it for your gain. I wouldn't suggest this though. Be good, not wicked...and you will be rewarded. The wicked men that rule this world will be punished in due time. It is written. Do you want to be among them who will not see paradise because their dark hearts are too heavy with wickedness to ascend to the light realm? Set your sights on the eternal world's treasures, not the ones here on Earth that will perish.
