Get K9 Advantix! It kills AND REPELS fleas, ticks, and mosquitos. Advantage and Frontline are great too, but I don't think they repel, they just kill.

You'll have to take a systemic approach to get rid of all the fleas. It should be all out war in order to get what you want. Here are my suggested steps:
1. Get your dog a flea dip IMMEDIATELY. This should kill all the fleas that are on him/her. Your vet might be able to do it or recommend a place, most Petsmarts can do it for you as well.
2. Follow that treatment with Frontline, squeeze a small stripe down the dog's back and remember to continue with repeated doses each month.
3. Gather all the dog's bedding: dog bed, sheets, blankets, your bedding if the dog sleeps with you. Wash these in HOT water.
4. If you have carpet or allow the dog onto your furniture I'd recommend a flea bomb. You'll have to be out of the house for a few hours but it is worth it to ensure you don't get a flea infestation in the house itself.
5. Treat the yard. (He had to get the fleas from somewhere). Cutter makes a great spray that you attach to your garden hose and kills fleas, mosquitos, gnats, etc. Spray onto the yard, wait for it to dry and you're set. It lasts for 4-6 weeks and I usually do two applications each summer.
6. Ask your vet about heartworm pills that also provide flea protection. I give my dog a pill that acts as a flea birth control: he can get fleas but that can't lay eggs or reproduce in any way so its a big help in the long term control of flea outbreaks.
Good luck, if you follow each step you should have nothing to worry about.

You have to treat your house too, or the fleas will always be around. Get a flea/tick medication from your vet (do not wash your dog 2 days before or after you apply the product as bathing strips away the natural oils the the flea product uses to travel over the dogs body). Then call a professional to treat your home. Don't forget to wash all bedding and pillows.

Use Frontline which is for fleas and ticks. It works within hours. If your dog is a puppy, use the spray but be very careful not to spray in his eyes. Do not bath your dog two days before and two days after you apply Frontline. It is better if you also spray the area where the dog sleeps, plays etc. If your dog only has problems with fleas, you can also use Stronghold which is only for fleas. Both Frontline and Stronghold must be applied once a month as a precaution.

Advantage or frontline. If you use one of these products that is all you need. NO dips or house bombs, those are out of date products. Many vets do not even use dip any more. Advantage & Frontline are designed to kill fleas once flea bites skin. All fleas must eat within a 24 hr period & will end up on the dog. Usually within 48 hrs. all fleas are dead on dog & in the house. Your dog can still be bathed & go swimming & it lasts for a month. I believe frontline might last longer. Check with your vet or local pet store.

Go to pets mart and ask and associate for a shampoo that u leave on for about 10 to 15 mins and then wash off and bathe your dog in it and it will get rid of fleas for up to 3 to 4 months.

you need a flea bomb, a good shampoo with flea killing agents, and a flea collar, or flea medication that kills fleas and flea eggs. Bathe him outside while you are bombing the house. Immediately after the bath, apply the medication or flea collar. When it is clear to go back inside, there shouldnt be any more problems. Just rmember to remedicate or reapply a collar at the time it states, otherwise, youre working against yourself.

Take the dog to someplace like your vet or Petsmart and have them dipped...That is if you are NOT putting flea medication on them ! While they are out, call the exterminator and have your house and yard sprayed.
This is the only sure fire way if you already have a huge infestation.
Then you need to keep it under control by using Frontline, Advantix, or whatever your vet recommends.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU75C
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.
