Reception locations...try a church, chruches usually offer low costs on recpetions or even a reception at home is inexpensive, free to rent. But I think the cheapest bet would be a chruhc with a reception hall, tradtional and inexpensive. Try different chruches and find which ones are available.

A fellow NEPa-ite!

I know this may sound weird, but I know of a lot of people who have done the J.P. route and had the wedding and reception at their house and backyard until they had the money to afford a larger, more formal wedding. For the most part, this can get kind of cramped really quickly.

Maybe do the J.P. thing, keep it informal for the wedding in a backyard and then go somewhere like Kirby Park (check if you need a permit first) and just enjoy yourselves. As long as you're comfortable with the settings, it shouldn't make a difference what anyone else thinks.

I don't do photographs of people or else I'd offer to do some shoots for you. Good luck.

My Fiancee and I are having service and reception at the local Elks Lodge. For us (in Massachusetts) it was $250 for 5 hours and $50 to have a bartender at the reception (cash bar). They also are catering the reception as well for about $14 pp.
Good Luck!

My advise 2 u is 2 go on a cruise. It all costs one price and u have an automatic reception with lots of guest you don't have 2 feed the cruise will do that.

Sometimes a American Legion is cheap. Or having it in a park.

Any venue is cheaper on Friday or Sunday than it would be on Saturday
