You will need to complete Form SS-5, Application for a Social Security Card (PDF). You also must submit evidence of your identity, age, and U.S. citizenship or lawful alien status. For more information please see the Social Security web site.

Your somewhat over the surprising, first it became the Mexican frontier earlier it became the recent united states of america of america however the folk by no ability left and neither did the language, for this reason the names of the cities and cities. save your eye on the ball, in case you artwork and pay taxes the government spends picano on all the handouts to the illegals. And remember the illegals grant for the U.S. and the hundreds of thousands of Mexicans residing in squalor down south. The border is porous for a reason and it will stay that way because of the fact of greed and apathy.

Well considering they are now looking for people that are illegal. I'd say move to mexico. Then apply to come here legally. If he has no crime record in the US then .you would both beallowed to live and work here while it is being processed...If he has a fellony record,,You might as well move to Mexico.and plan to stay while you apply for him to be allowed into this country....and remember if you don't apply for him to become a citizen and he gets caught. Iy will only be him that is deported.....And I have heard that people they deport...They won't even consider looking at their applications for 12 years....Anyone with a Felony..that they deport. will not be processed ever...but they aren't advertising it..

If he is illegal, unless he is protected under the ambit of the old amnesty law (INA Section 245i), he cannot apply for adjustment of status, nor a work authorization, and hence no social security number.

The only thing you can do is file an immediate relative petition for him, and he can apply for an ITIN through the IRS.

Good luck!

He needs to be here legally to work legally. If you are a citizen I believe he still has to leave and come in legally to get proper papers as your spouse. Check with the immigration web page, and ignore those who think you should just find a scam artist.

You just have to file for a change in status or petiton based on marriage. I hope you are an U.S. citizen so that the process will be swift. Make sure your marriage is legal, duly authorized and recognized in your state.

He would have to apply for citizenship just like normal. Just because you're married doesn't automatically make him a citizen and doesn't mean that he will for sure be able to become one.

Please oh please walk down to the INS office and loudly ask the same question.

By the way, the National Guard has already decreased border traffic by 25% and they are less than 2000 activated as of yet.

Tell him to go back and fix his own country before illegally sneaking into this one.
