It gets humid right before it rains, which means there is more moisture in the air. More moisture makes you feel hot & sticky. Think about a hot day in Louisiana versus a hot day in Arizona. It can be the same temperature, but because of the humidity in Louisiana it will seem much hotter than dry Arizona.

It doesn't always get warmer before it rains (it depends on where you live) but if it does, it's often because of the weather system causing the rain (warm weather hitting cooler weather, to simplify).

Moisture builds up in the air which makes it humid, then the air becomes saturated, then it rains because it becomes too much for the air to handle, so it releases moisture we call rain.

It is the humidity in the air which make it feel warmer, like when you cook rice, when you leave a lid on the pan it cooks it faster because the moisture is under the lid, the air is to thick to let the heat rise.

it gets hot because the rain that is building up is creating moisture, which creates humidity, which in turns makes it "hot".
note to xohbeachbumohx: humidity does not dry up the air. humidity puts moisture in the air. that is why when it's more humid out, you sweat more.

because d area at dat time develops a low pressure n as such due to cloud cover d heat cannot escape from earth n thus u feel hot!!
