An exercise bike is great – start slow, work up to 30 minutes, 4-5 times per week.
You can’t choose where your body gets fat, you just have to control your exercise, eating and metabolism. If you have never been active before, your body doesn't have much muscle. That means any excess weight is fat. Even if you're thin, that extra fat can add up to a pudgy tummy and flab on the thighs. Exercise adds muscle, which burns fat all day long.
After meeting the exercise goal above, you should notice your waistline shrinking a bit and your legs toning up. If not, you need to check out your eating habits.
Keep a food diary. When you start, don't worry about counting fat or calories, just notice what you are eating. Just seeing it written down can be a surprise - you don't always notice how much you really eat when you eat it, but you sure notice when you’re getting a pot belly. Watching what you eat helps you stay focused and eat healthier.

Here's what you *must* do:
1) Walk. Yes, it sounds obvious. But you need to aim for between 5,000 > 6000 steps a day. Do this either outside or on a treadmill.
or
2) If you are feeling more energetic - start light jogging. This is important: You must start low intensity gentle jogging to start with.
Above all, the golden rule is: Start low - small steps (no pun intended). Remember - when you're starting out - begin with cardio excerise to get your blood pumping and weight shifting!
very gradually, increase a weight routine into it. Join a gym and ask for advice from a trainer.
Food = This is an easy one - Fruit & Veg. The fresher and more natural the food the better. Avoid anything packaged if you can. At least 3 litres of water a day. Fish 2/3 times a week. Good fats (such as olive oil) Cut out bad fats = butter, full fat dairy stuff.
Above all - if you want to see the weight shift. Get active.

First of all wieght loss (and fitness altogether) is 80% nutrition and 20% excersise.
What you eat (and when you eat it) is essential to weight loss, without that dont even bother excercising. Unless of course you are a pro athlete or have a naturally (genetically) fast metabolism.
Combine long slow exercise (AT LEAST 45 minutes, try for an hour) with HIIT (look it up) on separate days, rest between each day. Do not try to do targeted weight excersises (machines and stuff). Some big people find results with this, most dont.
The long slow exercise is key; 20 minutes will give you little results and is a waste of your time, go for 40-60. Just walking at a somewhat fast pace (3.5-4.0) on a slight incline for one hour is what you should primarily do. 6 weeks consistantly, which is every other day, and you will see the fat melt away, I guaruntee it.

I dont know excercises too well. But I do know a eating patterns that has worked for me. I dropped 20 pounds in 2 weeks and am still loosing. I eat three meals a day, 3-4 hours apart, I drink only water, and I dont eat anything after 7pm. If I get hungry after 7pm I drink a cup of water or go to sleep.

You should do cardio. Run, bike, stairmaster, eliptica machine ets. Also, weight train your legs. When you want to burn calories, like you do, you need to get those muscles working. When you strengthen them, they turn into huge calorie burning machines. Also, if you do high reps, they won't get bigger, but get more defined. And if you want to lose the weight fast, you have to change your diet. It's 90% what you eat. As for focusing on losing the weight on a certian body part, that's impossible. We all put weight on at different parts first, but when you take it off, it comes off your entire body. It may just manifest itself in one place first.

Reduce your portions, no sweets, bread, pasta, or white rice. Increase protein, vegtables, and eat fruit to satisfy your sweet tooth. Don't eat after 6pm and take a vigorous (arm pumping) walk for 30 minutes a day. That will get you started! Good luck!
