Take a big deep breath.
Take another one.
You are going to be okay.
You've got guts for following your heart, that's taking a risk, and risk-taking is an essential part of success. Unfortunately, sometimes it doesn't work out the way you want. Following your heart is not stupid! You are not stupid! Some people know what they want to do at a young age and are able to do it. Most don't. Don't beat yourself up.
Its true that there are a lot of people wanting to go into multimedia. If you have the passion for, go back to it, cause what matters most is what you are able to work hard at. If you are excited about it, and have talent, and stick with it, you will get somewhere.
If you have any interest in the medical field, and have the energy to work hard in that field, then do that, you will be rewarded for it. It is more stable than multimedia. But if you don't have any interest in it, forget it. Your mom probalby just wants you to go into that field because it is stable. But mostly she just wants you to be happy. She probably doesn't understand what you want, and it scares her.
No one can make this decision for you, and it is a hard decision. No matter what you choose, there will be parts you don't like. Plus, as you get older what you want will probably change.
Whatever it is that RIGHT NOW gives you energy and excitement, whatever it is RIGHT NOW you think you can work hard at, that is the direction to go.
And get your degree, you will never regret finishing college, no matter what you major in.
Smile! You have more character, originality, and guts than the people who just play it safe. Its hard to see it now, but you will learn a lot from the experience you've had.

IT, Computers and multi-media opportunities will still be around in the future, despite a lot of jobs being outsourced to other countries. Medicine is also a needed and good field. From the very limited information shared, it appears that you have two good choices at least. I would recommend following your dreams. As for the mulit-level marketing company, I would suggest not pouring any more money into it until you have your feet under you again. There are some good and legitimate network marketing companies, but I encourage you to put first things first. Your family and education are more important.

The only bad decision is the one that is not taken. You have failed not because you are stupid but because you haven't put your heart in the things you want to do. Technology is a non-ending field. It is changing so dramatically day by day, and our world is getting so technified that there will always be a need for people with preparation and skills to do related jobs. IT is about imagination and imagination only is the limit. You have not lost your life but you are losing time. It is necessary for you to realize that you need to take a different road when the roads you have traveled have got you nowhere. You fell, so it is time to stand up and go towards your dreams. Success is ahead of you, never behind and every one thousand miles walk starts with the first step.

You have to remember that your life is your own, not your mom's or your friends. You will never be happy if you don't follow your heart, no matter how much money you make. There will always be jobs in IT as the global economy is shifting rapidly in that direction. There will definitely be an increase in the amount of people looking for IT carreers, but at the same time the opportunities will increase as well. Never forget your family, but realize that your future is under your control, and no one else.

Like you my son is going to college this year...so I am going to advice you as I would him. Go for your dream, study what you want to study and be happy...If your mother wants to be a docotr tell her to go back to shcool...it would be horrible if you were to work for the rest of your life at something you do not love....so follow YOUR dream and be happy
On the other hand if you like medicine and nursing you can always take courses and decide later...you do not have to decide right now. about the rest of your life..take courses, and you just might surprise yourself. I studied political science and to this day I regret that I did not go into medicine or nursing....but then again I became a mother and never worked....so you really do not know what life has in store for you ...so study what you love ,and college will be fulfilling, remember it is your scholarship and being successful in life is not always about having a high paying job that you hate.

Your mom may know whats best for you. Marketing investment may look like a nice way to make quick money but they are very unstable. Nursing is a much needed profession and will keep you in a steady source of money for the rest of your life after school. Go back to school and study hard.

Life's a garden, you gotta dig it. I like that. Other ones, off the top of my head: Get on with it, don't waste time as it's precious Don't take things too seriously, especially knockbacks Never, EVER, waste too much time on a damaging or pointless relationship - people can have their lives SUCKED up by relationships that aren't worth it Be sceptical, about everything, always Try to dig a little deeper, and go a little harder

You must live your own life! Your friends, family, mom all want you to do THEIR dream, but you have to choose what is right for you. Study successful people who are doing what you want to be doing and adapt it to your life. Read books about successful people who had to overcome great obstacles to survive. Interview people in your field who can give you advice from their experience not opinion. Even if it takes you 10 years to achieve your dream, that is much better than living an entire life of following other peoples expectations.

Get back to school.. both nursing and computers are great fields. If you don't want to be a nurse you'd not be any good at it. You can't listen to your friends with the next big deal or great scheme. This is your life not a dress rehearsal so you have to pick the career you will be happiest in. If it is computers.. so be it.
Good Luck
