DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT succumb to peer pressure! drugs, bad influences, you will be offered many things in High School- be careful.

Schoolwork-

Stay on schedule, because once you are behind, it is very difficult to get back on it. When it's a choice between homework and friends, make sure school comes first. You always have the summer for your social activities.

Boys-

They will respect you if you make yourself respectable- you may not have as many dates, but all dating brings is heartbreak, 9 times out of 10. Love can wait. =) If you end up with a serious boyfriend, though, follow your head and not your heart. This is much easier said than done, but you must do your best.

On a lighter note, you will make good friends, sometimes lifelong. Live for the little moments that will never come again.

One last thing-

This is the last chance you will have to experience the thrills and chills of being onstage, as well as the sheer joy of being a child. I know you are very grown-up, all teenagers are well on their way to adulthood, but you're not there yet. Enjoy the last remnants of your childhood while they last. =)

What I found out in High School is that money talks. Hopefully your family has some money so you can get some nice clothes on you. Then convince them to buy that little BMW or Mercedes convertible. Next find a wealthy boyfriend who is very popular and part of the elite social group. This elite social group is the top of the food chain, where you want to be. If you are below them stay with your own class and dont try and be a want to be rich girl. They will see through you and the fakeness. You will just be some hoe that they screwed in their eyes. To the wealthy guy you are below them, so dont go there. Money will also get you good grades and send you to a good school even if you arent that smart. Last but not least keep yourself maintained and attractive. This is all coming from a guy that knows, the truth hurts.

Get involved in different organizations. Participate in academic competitions. Get in good with the teachers (and administratives) (they will be writing your letters of recommendation). Create good study habits (ex: doing your homework as soon as you get home and not waiting til midnight to finish). DON'T PROCRASTINATE!!!! Do your work in a timely matter for the big projects. Enjoy your weekends. Make more friends....the more, the merrier. Don't forget to take lots of pictures throughout the high school years, they become flashbacks during your senior year. Don't forget to take important exams early like your SAT and ACT. Apply early for colleges and universities and any scholarships that you are qualified for. Relax, high school is not the end, no matter how things go....life's a journey, enjoy the ride.

Studying: Stick to the books for a designated period (an hour, a half hour?) and then reward yourself with a phone or snack break. Minimize distractions. If TV or music are your sirens, study in a room without these features. If IMing or MySpace are your downfall, turn the computer off.

Boys: Limit yourself to "group dating" with mixed sex groups of friends.

Friends: Be friendly to everyone, but don't feel that you need to be friends with everyone.

Teachers: If your attitude is good (you show respect, you want to learn, etc.), 99.9% of teachers will go out of their to help you.

Good luck, Frosh!

Give 100 percent. Enjoy every part of it. Studying- do your school work first you may loose friends, boys etc but no one can take your brain and what you know from you. Be very selective in your friends, just because they say they are you friend does not mean that they mean you any good. Boys..... follow your gut. if it doesn't feel right don't do it.

Yeah on your first day there, find the biggest meanest looking dude and start a fight with him. Even if you lose you'll get respect and no one will mess with you lightly. Oh wait....thats prison.....hmmm high school high school....ok studying is overrated, friends are, I hate to say, are mostly just hs friends as most people make their life long friends in college, boys suck but if you must mingle then choose the quiet smart kid not the dumb jock who will prob rape you (especially if he got accepted to Duke) and yeah have fun :)

Keep up your grades, but don't forget to enjoy yourself. High school will not be the highlight of your life, so don't stress it too much. Relax, be yourself, and make good decisions.

The main thing is to be yourself, don't change for anyone but yourself. Join in on everything you can because you only get one chance.
