Your fafsa student aid report or whatever it is called will tell you what your EFC is (expected family contribution) even if it is 0, this does not guarantee that the school you are going to will award you enough money to cover all expenses, each college calculates their student money differently. The best thing to do is go into the Financial Aid office of your school and see what steps are still needed. Make sure you are told what scholarships are available through your school as well. You should also do a search for scholarships on the web, there is always money out there for students. Good luck

Yes, you should be able to find the amount you have been awarded on the FAFSA website. Go to the FAFSA.ED.GOV website, and under FAFSA follow up there is a link 'View and print your student aid report' this should be up by now and tell you how much you have been awarded. If you have trouble getting into that, you might want to try something as simple as going to your schools student network and seeing if your financial aid has been posted on your account there. If all else fails, where i live at least, i recieve letters telling me how much i have recieved. Hope that helped :-) , let me know if you need more information, as I am heading into my third year of school, i feel i know the ropes somewhat:)

Schools use a formula derived from the government to decide on your actual aid package. The FAFSA is just a form to declare income so they can decide on how much FREE money you get (grants) versus how much you have to do in LOANS (or your parents) the only thing you will see on the FAFSA site is your EFC (estimated family contribution). The higher this number, the less likely you are to get things like a Pell Grant and the more likely you and your family will join those of us who have a HUGE amount of financial aid debt and no way to pay it because jobs no longer pay enough to pay back financial aid loans :)

The Fafsa will show you your estimated family contribution. Which is one of the many factors your schools financial aid counsler will take in consideration when processing your award letter.
You will have to wait for the award letter from your school to find the total award amount. They will list if you are eligible for the federal stafford loan(s) and any other scholarships or grants you will be able to receive from the school, state and so on. If you have any questions on your award your best bet is to set up an appointment with a rep from your schools financial aid office.
Good luck!!

As soon as you get an e-mail telling you your final EFC (Effective Financial Contribution) you should be able to tell the amount of Pell Grant you are elligible for. Pell is the national grant and you can possibly get a max of $4,050. But you will probably have to wait for your school to tell you how much you are elligible for in State grants, State loans, and Stafford subsidized and unsubsidized loans. The starting point, though, is the completed FAFSA and a low EFC because most college and state funding programs that are at all need-based will go off of the Fed's EFC calculation.

You cannot get this information from the FASA web site however your school will mail you an award letter informing you of how much you are approve for. Another thing is that if you are applying for a loan it depends on whether you are a freshmen or a senior and the pell/tap is whether you have more than 12 or more credits.

It will tell you on the site if you were approved for financial aid or not. For the amounts and how much exactly they will pay out, you can contact your financial aid office at your school and they can tell you.

The FAFSA will give you your EFC and then the school will calculate how much you get. You will have to wait until you get something from your school with your financial aid package because the EFC will count differently at each school.
Sorry :(

Yes the FAFSA report will tell you when the fedreal governement has processed your information. Look on the SAR report which can be found online. The school that you send it to will also know the date that it was processed.

No what you will need to do is check with the school to see what your award letter will contain. Fafsa only process the information they send it to the school and the school determines how much money you get.
