Should I eat the protein X number of hours before the weight lifting or right after the lifting? What if I fast one day per week and lift weights on the day that I fast?

get a protein supplement, nutrition stores sell them, and they work.... follow the directions and you'll be in good "shape"

the 45 min after your work out is the time your body uses the protein best.
if you try to lift weights on a fasting day you will like not have enough energy to have a good workout.

If you are building muscle mass, you will basically eat all the time.

Eat something high in protein. For example, eat one peanut butter sandwich every two hours.

You must have a constant intake of calories and carbs to build and maintain the stamina.
