I always call it soda. "Pop" just sounds stupid. (to me, but that's my opinion).

We actually took a survey of this during my orientation freshman year of college. We found that everyone from around Chicago calls it pop. And everyone from around central, illinois calls it soda. Some people call it coke. I asked someone if they wanted something to drink onetime and they said "you got any coke?" and i said "yes" and she said "ok give me a sprite".....yea....of course my opinion, pop is a type of music, soda is something you drink and coke, well thats a type of soda.
