The Bible is not meant to be read literally... It is meant to be read in the context for what it was written during that time.

The Bible containst historical truths in that Jesus truly existed on earth.

I don't rely on "Sola Scriptura" Bible Alone as my soul source of Authority. This has lead to 300,000 different Christian Sects.

When the Bible was copied to the english version, not all of the scroll documents were added. There was a documentary on TV about this and a Jewish Rabbi was telling it.HE said they didnot see that everything needed to be printed. We have been told to believe,so each to his own.Theres always someone who wants to argue about the Bible.

The bible does not fit the criteria you have given to choose from. The bible is the infallible, inerrant word of God. It has proven to be historically correct and has more supporting manuscripts than any other literary work in history.

Most bibles are filled with many errors, but I believe the orignal scriptures or what Christ and the prophets spoke to be true. If you search and study the meanings of scriptures and original wording you will find more truth than any "church" could teach you.

Will you go to Heaven? Here's a quick test. Have you ever told a lie, stolen anything, or used God's name in vain? Jesus said, "Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her has committed adultery already with her in his heart." Have you looked with lust? Will you be guilty on Judgment Day? If you have done those things God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart. The Bible warns that if you are guilty you will end up in Hell. That's not God's will. He sent His Son to suffer and die on the cross for you. Jesus took your punishment upon Himself -"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." Then He rose from the dead and defeated death. Please, repent (turn from sin) today and trust in Jesus, and God will grant you everlasting life. Then read your Bible daily and obey it.

Hell yeah.

You know the punch of the joke? If the so-called "son of god" had not come down on Earth to be crucified, we would have!

How charming. Of course I'd want to be dictated by a deity like that...

I prefer being lucid.

The Bible is a awesome book of scripture you just don't understand it. Try taking a class and getting the information you might be seeking. "There is no such thing as self-made, we are made up of thousands of others."

Actually the Bible is a more authenticated book than the writings of many people you probably readily accept as real. Shakespeare is one example. Biblical text is more authenticated than many of his writings.
